Abstract

This article shows the research results about temperature changes in co-composting process of organic solid waste with feacal sludge through aerobic process (co-composting) with different mixing ratios. The research also has shown that organic solid waste/faecal sludge mixing ratios of about 3:1, 4:1 and 5:1 are all recommended to maintain adequate temperature for suppressing pathogenic microorganisms in the pile. However, this management strategy may require other additional preventative measures to reduce water evaporation as well as maintain the moisture content of the piles throughout the composting period. .
