Abstract

This paper focuses on understanding and analyzing a magnetic levitation system consisting of an electromagnet, a permanent magnet sphere, and a sensor. This is an unstable nonlinear system, so we need to build a mathematical model to design a PID controller and a sliding controller for the system. The PID control method is a simple but very useful method, while the sliding control method is more stable, meeting the requirements of fast control. Finally, the study will focus on testing and comparing the effectiveness of these two control methods.
