Abstract

In recent years, the Textile, Garment and Footwear industry has made a great contribution to the economic development of the country. In Hung Yen province, there are currently many Textile, Garment and Footwear companies, in addition to creating jobs for workers inside and outside the province, increasing economic value for the country. Production development will lead to a large amount of discarded solid waste such as rags, textile fibers, leather scraps... most of them are buried and burned, causing environmental pollution. This problem is truly a big challenge for society. The author group has built a project aimed at taking advantage of reusable scrap sources from the production process of Textile, Garment and Footwear enterprises by creating a new type of composite material which use in industrial and civil. Among the first steps of the above project is to understand the process of classifying scrap at the source. This article presents the results of a survey of the waste classification process at some Textile, Garment, and Footwear enterprises in Hung Yen province. From the results collected, the authors have proposed and guided how to classify scrap at the scrap generation stages of the Textile factory, Garment factory and Leather Shoe factory in Hung Yen province. This proposal helps the process of collecting scrap for reuse in a scientific way, minimizing implementation time.
