About the Journal
The Journal of Applied Science and Technology of Hung Yen University of Technology and Education was re-granted a license to operate a printed journal by the Ministry of Information and Communications under License No. 262/GP-BTTTT dated September 17, 2024 (p-ISSN 3030-4830). The journal's predecessor was UTEHY Journal of Science and Technology, it was first licensed to publish under License No. 439/GP-BTTTT dated October 31, 2013 of the Ministry of Information and Communications with an International Standard Serial Number - ISSN 2354-0575.
Up to now, the Journal of Applied Science and Technology has gained more experience and matured in all aspects, making positive contributions to the training and scientific research of Hung Yen University of Technology and Education. The establishment of the Journal of Science and Technology has significantly contributed to promoting scientific research and technology transfer activities; linking training and scientific research with production practices, bringing scientific advances to life; further promoting the introduction of new technological achievements, trends in the development of science and technology, economics, exchange of management and operational experiences, etc. to serve Hung Yen University of Technology and Education and the country’s education sector in general.
Journal of Applied Science and Technology has been included in the scoring list of the State Council of Professors in the field of Mechanical - Dynamics with (0-0.5) points.
The Mission, Aims and Scope
- Provide information about scientific activities of Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.
- Periodically publish to introduce and announce scientific research results in the fields of training and teaching of Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.
- The Journal of Applied Science and Technology of Hung Yen University of Technology and Education is a prestigious multidisciplinary research journal, all articles are strictly peer-reviewed before publication. Issues are published in printed form and the publishing fields include:

Publication frequency
Publish every 3 months. Release date: 30th of March, June, September, and December.
Process of receiving, reviewing and publishing articles
Step 1: The Secretary Board receives manuscript, reviews article layout and format; the editors give a preliminary review of the article's content. The Secretary Board notifies the author of article status, and may reject article (Go to Step 8) or request revision before reviewing (Go to Step 2).
Time: 2 days
Step 2: The Secretary Board/ editors select reviewers according to the research field of the article and each article is sent to 2 reviewers. (Go to Step 3).
Time: 2 days
Step 3: Reviewers evaluate the content of the article (according to the journal's attached form) and send comments to the Secretariat. (Go to Step 5)
Time: 15 days
Step 4: Editors review the article (if any): Perform concurrently with Step 3. (Go to Step 5)
Step 5: The Secretary Board notifies author of the review results:
- Accept: Go to Step 8
- Revise (resend back or no need to send back to reviewer): Go to Step 6
- Reject: Go to Step 8
5.1. For articles that receive the evaluation result "Accept" from 2 reviewers, The Secretary Board continues to forward the article to the Editorial Board for decision. (Go to Step 8).
5.2. For articles that receive one result of "Accept" and the remaining reviewer does not send comments or evaluate "Reject", the Secretary Board requests the author to explain and edit/add contents (if any). Next, the Secretary Board continues to send article to the reviewer that was evaluated as "Reject" or forward it to a third reviewer. (Return to Step 3).
5.3. For articles that do not meet the conditions for publication in the journal, the Secretary Board will consider sending a notice of rejection to author after receiving the approval of the Editor-in-Chief (Go to Step 8).
Step 6: The author revised the article based on comments from the reviewers/editors. (Go to Step 7)
6.1. If articles receive the result “Major revision”: The author edits and resubmits to the Editorial Board. The Secretary Board continues to send the article to reviewers and editors for content review.
Time: 7 days
6.2. If articles receive the result “Minor revision”: The author edits the article and sends it back to the Editorial Board. Then, the Secretary Board sends it to editors for review.
Time: 3 days
6.3. If articles receive the result “Reject”: The author edits and sends it back to the Editorial Board (if the author wants to resubmit the article to the journal). The Secretary Board continues to send the article to the reviewer that evaluated as "Reject" or forward it to a third reviewer.
Time: 7 days
Step 7: The Vice Chairman of the Editorial Board/Editor approves the completed articles after reviewing. (Go to Step 8)
Time: 2 days.
Step 8: The Secretary Board informs author about the status of the article being accepted or rejected:
- Accepted: Go to Step 9
- Rejected: Finish.
Step 9: The Secretary Board compiles a list of completed articles and sends them to the Editor-in-Chief for approval for publication. (Go to Step 10)
Time: 2 days.
Step 10: The Secretary Board edits the articles into the appropriate issue. (Go to Step 11)
Time: 15 days.
Step 11: Editor-in-Chief, Chairman of the Editorial Board reviews the journal's manuscript and signs off on it for publication. (Go to Step 12)
Time: 2 days.
Step 12: The Secretary Board sends the journal manuscript to the Publishing House for printing and distribution; posts abstracts of the article on the website. (Publishing completed)
Time: 15 days.
Publication Ethics Statement
Articles published in the Journal of Applied Science and Technology ensure the requirements according to the journal's regulations and the Regulations on Intellectual Property and Ethics in Scientific Research, Reference Citation Styles and Anti-Plagiarism of Academic Products of Hung Yen University of Technology and Education issued with Decision No. 1143/QD-ĐHSPKTHY dated July 18, 2022.
If the article violates the publishing ethics, the Editorial Board considers and handles it according to the general regulations.
